Playing Engineers CC is like taking a walk through time and the course provokes such a historical response emotionally that few courses can compete. The original Herbert Strong design that was updated by renown architect, Devereux Emmet has hosted both the 1919 PGA Championship and 1920 U.S. Amateur. In the 1920 U.S. Amateur, Chick Evans defeated the legendary Francis Ouimet. Over the past ten years, Tripp Davis has been responsible for returning Engineers CC back to its past glory and this week we talked about restoring a golf course of such historical importance.
