Helen Ross is not only a great writer, she's one of the nicest people I've met on tour. I hope you enjoy hearing her story as much as I did. Thank you for the support.

Woody Lashen and I conclude the 2014 season with aspiring Champions Tour player, Charlie Bowling. Enjoy and thank you for your support throughout the season.
This week, co-owner of Pete's Golf Shop, Woody Lashen and I take a look behind the curtain of corporate sponsorship on the PGA TOUR in our interview with Dick Kearns. Dick is a Senior Advisor at Zurich Insurance and is also responsible for player relationships for Zurich's PGA TOUR Ambassador Program. When Dick is not supporting the great game of golf, he's busy as the owner of one of Long Island's premier restaurants--La Marmite (http://www.lamarmiterestaurant.com/).
If you were fortunate enough to see some of golf’s legends grace the fairways of Long Island on an annual basis from the late 80’s until the better part of the nineties; then you owe a debt of gratitude to the man who first brought the PGA Tour to Long Island–Gene Bernstein. The former Metropolitan Golf Association President and Northville Industries Corp. Chairman is the man responsible for bringing Long Islanders closer to the legends of the game including the likes of Palmer, Nicklaus, Player and Trevino.
In this episode Bob Bubka, Woody Lashen, and I talk about the USGA's decision on anchored putting, Shinnecock Hills GC, National Golf Links of America, and golf on Long Island.
The golfing world knows Bob Bubka as the voice of the golf world on the SiriusXM PGA Tour channel , but few may know that he grew up in Sag Harbor on the east end of Long Island. Needless to say, Bob is very familiar with all that is great about golf on Long Island. I met Bob at this year’s Barclays tournament at Bethpage and I must say the experience was enlightening. Not only is he a wealth of information about the golf industry and golf on Long Island, but he is a true gentleman as well.
